@aweiss
That is so weird.
What were the 2 sources I wonder... Probably Cruella was one of them.

@maddad
If I had to guess, it was a miss on "boil," either with instructions to boil water before giving it to a baby, or how to deal with boils on a baby's skin.

Context is hard.

@aweiss
ya probably, I actually did a quick search on duck and metager and it was mostly about boils and boiling water too. Good catch though.

@aweiss Google wisely evades the question "you should DEFINITELY boil any water you give to a baby under 4 months of age"

But you know what? They don't say to cool it off, first.

DELETED

@aweiss I could've told you that without a web search.

Craig Leadley

@aweiss 🤣 to be fair, it's safe for the person doing the boiling..

SAC

@aweiss safe for the stove, yes.

baby spinach, yes.

David Slifka

@aweiss in fairness they don’t specify safe for *who*

Michael Aye

@aweiss @hobs where is the problem? Boiling is the action of heating something in water to the boiling point of water and that’s not particularly dangerous for the person who does the boiling. Any other grammarly interpretation is just bad faith of folks trying to get some headlines.

MastoDan

@aweiss @donmelton it’s safe for the person doing the boiling.

@aweiss i mean you the boiler will be fine, it's the boilee, what i imagine it's assuming is food you're boiling, that might not be. so, technically correct maybe?
