accidentally wrote "saad" instead of "saas" in a text to my partner; they immediately coined "Software as a Disappointment"

@sara I first thought of Brandon Saad, hockey player for the St. Louis Blues! When your interests randomly collide

@sara @clive indeed.

What happened to me is I read your message and rhe words immediately swapped (my brain does that a lot) and I thought โ€œdisappointment as softwareโ€ and now Twitter, and mostly all social media tools have a definition in my head that perfectly describes them.

@sara I used to work for a global IT outsourcing company. When we over promised and under delivered I used to gleefully call it (on internal calls) Failure As A Service.

William Robison

@sara probably more accurate that software as a service.

Andrew Notarian

@sara At some point I typed Disappointment as a Service and thought that was really true

@schizanon @sara well we are moving to a new release cycle, let me float saad past our PM ๐Ÿค”

@sara

@sara I mean you're paying for it so it's more Disappointment as a Service most of the time.... though maybe SaaD is every time I give Enlightenment a go and it's ALMOST THERE but there's just one little dealbreaker...
