Mastodon randomly deciding not to actually post an attached image is super annoying.

Seems to happen sometimes.
Last time this happened the instance actually ran out of media space ^^'

@gamingonlinux Ideally your posting should be part of your website eventually, that way it would more clearly separate between Posting, Federating/Aggregating and Consuming and you would for sure know that the Posting worked at least :)

@gamingonlinux I can see there's supposed to be an attachment but when I click it I get:

{"error":"Too many requests"}

...so maybe it's just mastodon.social falling over under the load again.

@gamingonlinux that uses to happen when the server is under heavy load, probably another twitter migration is happening now

Usually, when it happens to me, it's because I hit the "Publish!" button before verifying that the attachment had finished the whole attachment process.

Seems like, if hitting "Publish!" before the process completes can cause the attachment to fail, then the "Publish!" button ought to remain greyed-out.
