Safi after making a third account on starnix (which I really should make an explicit rule against because it make it harder for mods to track), got into a dispute with the user of rojogato involving blocking some of the users.
Rojogato is a more shitposter friendly instance which users of this network have alt accounts on, alt accounts are not against the rules, and I don't care if you have one provided you don't harass my users.
Rojogato employs a blockbot, which if you don't know what that is, it is a notification system to alert you when you have been blocked by a remote or local user. AP blocks send a "DO NOT SEND" type request to remote servers to prevent remote users from sending messages to that server/user as a way to reduce network traffic.
Instance admins can use that request (reading database) to notify which user has been blocked by whom. Personally I disagree with the usage of this and I won't implement it here, simply because it causes unneeded drama. However rojo is a remote instance they have their own rules, and a block bot isn't reason enough for me to defederate, since you don't need a block bot to tell you if someone blocked you, it's pretty easy to tell if you just browse an account which has you blocked.
Anyways safi blocked someone(s) who use rojo and *nix. Safi then realised this after the blockbot federated the block notification to mastodon, then proceeded to unblock and claim that he was being peer pressured to unblock (which honestly I would have just kept the block but w/e). Then shit hit the fan. He went on a semi rant about how "some opinions are unacceptable" depsite he himself being censored for unacceptable opinions on other instances and that instance administrators can read your private dm messages because they are not end to end encrypted, then did a complete 180 about how this sort of thing would have never happend on facebook because of the shear number of users (despite that they still can read your messages), this is in stark contrast to his previous hundreds of post about lambasting Mark Zuckerberg for being a Lizard or whatever.
After which he terminated his *nix account and said that he was only going to have one account on mastodon.social.

@splitshockvirus I always prefer long stories.
