I think it is possible to listen to a podcast on youtube, spotify or some other wall garden service.

Unless that podcast is available via RSS, or at least on iTunes, I consider it to be false advertising to market an audio show as a podcast.

Being app independent is a core aspect of podcasts from their outset.

Capitalism loves to co-opt and recuperate nice things though, doesn't it.
