@davew Thank you Dave! Certainly nothing on the level of you've had to deal with in the past, but yeah…as one of the few mediums left on the net which has managed to evade total monopolistic lockdown, I care very strongly about it.

@tarczonator @davew Or…and just hear me out on this…we talk about the benefits of podcasts and the problems with exclusive audio shows on proprietary platforms. @jaredwhite I don't need to hear you out, I already agree with you! But with the average person I think it's harder to make the case when you need to convince them a podcast isn't what they think it is. @tarczonator Fair enough. I don't think what I'm trying to do is convince the average person what a podcast is. I'm trying to convince the industry / media that is just going along with a handful of corporations and their big money. Foolish? Perhaps, but that's no reason to stop trying! @jaredwhite Either way, maybe things will work themselves out. |
@jaredwhite @davew Completely agree but the ship sailed. Better to talk the benefits of *open* podcasts and the problems with *exclusive* podcasts. You have to meet people where they are if you actually want to change anyone's mind. Next up: is it really GNU/Linux?
