@fuzzychef Why is a British POS pressuring to eliminate AMERICAN jobs?

If Joe Biden adopted a little bit of economic nationalism & cracked the whip on that British guy to at least give the appearance of fighting to save American jobs, then that could only help improve his approval numbers.

@mostly_harmless @fuzzychef He's a major stockholder, or rather his hedge fund is.

@drwho He's still a FOREIGNER who is trying to hurt the livelihoods of American workers.

We need Seal Team Six on this case.

The Doctor

@mostly_harmless He's stupidly rich. He could hire them and give them better benefits than Uncle Sam. That seems like a bad risk to me.

My guess is, TCI is the outside meanie brought in to take the blame for something the Google higher ups planned to do anyway.

@peatbog Yeah. I just wish we had a more vocal government in these matters. I think President Biden could raise a stink about this TCI fellow and what he is saying to mitigate some of the employment losses.

A little bit of nationalistic grandstanding and saving some jobs goes far for a president's popularity.

I don't think people get what I'm trying to say.

I'm all for the bully pulpit. Worth a try. But the modern investor class has been at war with labor a hundred years. They have a chess move to play after every move by labor so people should plan.

A "bully pulpit" move or "trial by court of public opinion" will be countered by a "divide and conquer" play from the investors. So we'll get talking heads on TV sharing anecdotes about tech workers shitting on baristas and the like.
