Bad idea: I want to try vtubing as Tux the penguin in my next Forgejo federation stream.

If anyone wants to mess around with this Tux 3D model, you can also download it at https://cloud.exozy.me/s/feta8ZfnyWDLdpH Thanks to https://vrm-addon-for-blender.info/en/ and some manual rigging, I just need arm tracking and my horrific plan will be complete! My crusty Blender skills are finally coming back to me! If anyone else wants the VRM file, you can find it at https://cloud.exozy.me/s/wWyQ9yoWDp6QXnc I can't believe I spent so much time on getting this to work, but it's finally ready! I'll be streaming more #Forgejo #federation development in 15 minutes at https://tube.exozy.me/w/oRAXtmt8hoqMSKbcQFH3wA as usual. Today I'm going to be working on the ForgeFed-F3 merger. |
OK, I seriously tried this for the memes and it didn't really work.
I used https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/tux-penguin-0e9e2902a7cb4684b11eb42d6dfc6655 for the 3D model but the .glb version of it is borked so I tried using Blender to converting the .blend version to .glb but that messes up the model and becomes all grey.
For motion tracking, I tried https://github.com/virtual-puppet-project/vpuppr which surprisingly worked after a lot of troubleshooting! But it only supports face tracking and not arm tracking, and the Tux model only has one head bone...
