@yogthos Steam Deck has turned me into a fatpak believer. SteamOS is a modified Arch distribution with Valve's custom package repositories. This makes it difficult to install software that Valve hasn't packaged. With Flatpaks though it is trivial to install software that is available on flathub to the user home directory which bypasses the risk of modifying the root.
