@bensaufley Is it true that "API 2.0" apps were actually paying money to Twitter for the right to connect to the API? It's probably not the most important thing to be thinking about here but I really wonder if Twitter accidentally entered into an implied contract with Twitterific/Tapbots/et al and are liable to those companies for putting them in a situation where they'll have people cancelling subscriptions at the app devs' expense due to them violating a "rule" introduced five days later
