@gamingonlinux @TomLarrow 100% this. It needed a free tier, at something like 480p or 360p, to get more people using it. With your free plan you get access to a new game every week, and you can subscribe to keep playing that game, access more games, and get better video quality. It was a pure business failure. It did nothing to shake up the market. |
@TomLarrow not entirely true. Tech was good yes but the business model is what put most people off.
