Gregory's Server@yogthos The idea that Russia is going to be competitive with the US for engineering in the forseeable future is ludicrous unless there's a drastic regime change, for starters. Russia has lots of successful engineers, but not so much in Russia itself.

@alx I'd love to know where you got the notion that there aren't competent engineers in Russia. How do you think Russia was able to develop things like hypersonic weapons ahead of US exactly?

And it's the only country that managed to produce platforms like Yandex, VK, and Telegram that outcompeted US equivalents domestically.
