@nixCraft it's ironic that :stallman: was so against patents yet insisted that the entire linux project prefixed with his GNU/ 'trademark' just cause he wrote some of the user mode apps. @nixCraft It's Linux for me. Other major OSes that use the Linux kernel such as Android and Chrome OS don't even have 'Linux' in their names, so the scope for confusion by omitting the GNU part in the name is small. |
@nixCraft I voted "I don't use Linux distro" because I hate this pronunciation and gate-keeping bull-shittery. Linux has an actively bad community who push new people away by constantly nagging them when they type something "incorrectly". It's toxic.
