Retort Furnace Saga: my husband built a retort to start making #Biochar to improve our soil for our gardens. But I’m currently fascinated by the way it makes everything into #charcoal. So far just sticks and soldier beetle larvae from rotten eggs (for calcium) have come out of the retort. But I’m going to slip in some deer antlers I found in the woods and old seashells to see how they look once carbonized. (!!) Will post before and after photos in case anyone is interested to see.
