Tonight I decided to add candy eyes to our chocolate-dipped strawberries, only to learn that when it comes to desserts there is a very, very fine line between “whimsical” and “cursed”

@laminda Somehow, despite the lack of mouths, I feel they are all screaming @laminda Oh wow The bottom left one looks like a scared big bird, and the one next to it looks like it has a creepy smile (but maybe that's just the lighting with the darkness under the eyes) But these are amazing @laminda Please add mouths to a few of them! The one on the front left already kinda looks like it has a mouth, and it definitely is screaming. @laminda Well I think they look cool and now I have an idea for what to do with my godkids on New Year’s Eve. @laminda one of the kind of looks like a chocolate Kermit the Frog, can't quite decide if that's disturbing or cool. (Chocolate and strawberry are always a good combo!) @laminda sitting here with insomnia stifling involuntary laughter to avoid waking the whole damn house. Makes me wish the kids were little again so some PTA would ask me to send in snacks so I could do this in response...but, I'll settle for making these out of the blue one day for some potluck or family get together when it is least expected and least appropriate |
@laminda They all look like they’ve been up for days, imagining the end.
