See, I'm not making up this shit. I registered these many moons ago, & now I'm paying renewal tax without making in $$$'s 😭😭😭 I even have a half-backed app written in web2py in 1.9. I'm pretty sure it won't work now because web2py is in version 2.21.1 these days. 😭😭😭

Good example of why self hosting is essential to keep costs down when starting a new project @nixCraft, after its proved itself and either generated income or funding, it's only then that scaling up via AWS or any of the others is economical.

@AlanHicksLondon @nixCraft AWS nickles and dimes. 50 cents per DNS zone per month for the first 25? 40 cents per billion queries? $13 for a .com? I regularly sell those for $12 and sometimes a special for $11. Big Cloud is full of hidden costs.
