i went with my gut on this one and silenced the nafo instance.

at the very least it’s nationalist propaganda spread by white liberals. and in the worst case it’s a literal cointelpro op.

either way, i have issues with people who gleefully enjoy the thought of weapons systems transfers and the thought of those weapons systems being used to murder people, regardless of their nationality.

all of those people have very clearly never seen a battlefield in their life. if they had they wouldn’t find enjoyment in this war.

war is an ugly business, be it a public war like this one, or a private war waged by industrially-funded warlords, and perhaps if you’ve never actually been involved in one, you shouldn’t find enjoyment in the transference of armaments or their usage against an enemy which isn’t actually yours (last i checked putin was not waging a ground war against the white liberals of the democratic party).

yes, absolutely, fuck putin, but deriving pleasure in the death and misery of his conscripts is immoral.

we should oppose war — including this one, and including putin’s attempts to annex ukraine — but it is possible to oppose state violence without deriving pleasure from the observation of counter violence.
