When interacting with recruiters, are you an engineer | do you prefer phone calls or emails for info updates during each step of the process?

@danluu but honestly it should be a web portal. Almost all inbound recruiter content is spam. Like offering half your salary for a language you don’t know

At Twitter, after talking to people who were upset when they found out they were lied to by their recruiter, all with the exact same lies, I tried to figure out what happened and found that there was a recruiting slide deck that instructed recruiters to say things that weren't true.

I was told the same lies but, luckily, I had enough experience to know the recruiter was lying live and wasn't unpleasantly surprised later.

@danluu I should prefer email, but email is swamped with receipts and spam that I dont really read email. WhatsApp would be great
