Something tells me that we, as a species, would kinda have to let go of the idea of "owning an idea" sometime down the line. Everything points in that direction, from copyright infringement strikes on YouTube to AI-based generative art.

IMO, everybody in those discussions is ignoring the bigger picture, which leads them to asking the wrong questions and arguing around something that has always been pretty much a fallacy in the first place. It was a necessary fallacy, it made sense in context, and it made things work in the framework it was created in. Not so much anymore.
