It takes 12 days to do that on a cargo ship & the cost is $100/day since you have to eat. It’s a shitty option compared to a 6hr flight. But if you put someone into hybernation for 12 days the trip is cheaper & sustainable. #showerThoughts

One of the drives to study human #torpor is space travel but it will likely affect many more lives w.r.t. world travel. It’s also safer; no risk that someone has a medical emergency mid trip.
