@JulianOliver reminds me of a story I heard many years ago when I did archery. Some TV company wanted to film an arrow being shot at a camera. The TV crew were all up for it and offered to put up some bulletproof glass to protect the camera. The archer kept saying no and in the end demonstrated what would happen by shooting at the glass when it was propped up against a target. The arrow went clean through the glass.

The director quickly dropped the shot.
