Some of you mentioned #Krampusnacht yesterday, but, when I lived in Germany/Bavaria, it always occurred on the 6th. And it's not called Krampusnacht there, it's called Klausentreiben. I've written an article about it for The American Bystander magazine, which should be out soon (my photos below).

@Richard_Littler In Slovenia we have guys in very similar outfits, kurenti, who come around Shrovetide to scare away the winter
