Note: we just did a #Fedibock of several instances:

Several admins have seen these instances being involved in some nasty attacks: They use thousands of subdomains of activitypub-troll [.]cf to overwhelm instances with Mastodon server calls.
An odd Fediverse-specific type of denial of service attack.
All blocked. Will block more if they sprout up,
@tchambers Do you have, or plan to have, a whitelist or blacklist? Isn't there any peering protocol to avoid connecting to the federation to instances that misuse it?
