Now Musk is saying if Apple and Google block Twitter on their app stores, presumably for failure to moderate hate speech and for safety, he will just create a new phone.
So itโs going well, right?
Now Musk is saying if Apple and Google block Twitter on their app stores, presumably for failure to moderate hate speech and for safety, he will just create a new phone. So itโs going well, right? @georgetakei oh boy, isn't anyone there, in his inner circle, who can tell him that he's MAKING A Fword clown of himself? @georgetakei this is absolutely the behavior of a well rounded and stable individual. Especially when you consider the sheer level of financial hemorrhage going on right now and what that would add on. >> @georgetakei heโll need to buy a phone maker than litigate/buy the right to call himself โfounderโ like he did Tesla. @georgetakei he would have to give the phone away to so many people to recover an adequate level of users because who would end their phone contact early to buy a musk phone? So, yeah, going well. @georgetakei Other than Tesla and SpaceX, Elon's exploits have not been roaring successes. I suppose that Elon dividing his time between shiny things would mean that he has less opportunity to really screw up each one, though. @georgetakei @georgetakei The Windows Phone failed, and was produced by a better entrepreneur. Huawei is being actively propped up by the Chinese government and marketed as the patriotic choice of the PRC and STILL trails two other phone companies (one of which is Chinese). Keeping that new phone afloat might be harder than Twitter. @georgetakei I mean it worked will for MS, Blackberry, Nokia, etc. I'm sure Elon's phone will do well. ๐ @georgetakei - Will the battery explode/set fire to the phone at random intervals? Will users have to pay a subscription fee to get more than 6 hours of battery life? @georgetakei kinda hoping it's a flip phone that chirps like a ST communicator and the Roddenberry estate sues that crap outta him. @georgetakei The Tesla phone will be $2000 and you can only charge it at selected places all over America. #Elon is the living embodiment of the Dunning - Kruger effect. @georgetakei I know! Youโd think he might reflect a bit and realize maybe heโs part of the problem, but hey, his fanboys and bot followers are already drooling at the prospect of owning his โspecialโ phone. @georgetakei The more money, time, and attention heโs wasting โdevelopingโ a new phone, the less he has to spend on some of the more harmful stuff he could be doing. @georgetakei your Tesla robot can carry your Tesla phone to your Cybertruck that you drive on the California hyperloop, right? @georgetakei I am grateful this Thanksgiving that Elon is not a natural born citizen of the U.S., and thus is not eligible to run for president someday. @georgetakei I especially like how his fanbois are piling on about how iPhone and Android are just "woke, biased, and anti-privacy" and how easy it would be for Musk to make a smartphone since he's "already landed men on Mars." @georgetakei It would be awesome if he sunk more money (read: Tesla shares) into a new smartphone and then the major mobile carriers refuse to support it. Because the Facebook phone and the Amazon phone were so successful? Ahh..other billionaires have tried, "flopped & flamed out". https://www.cnet.com/tech/mobile/fire-phone-one-year-later-why-amazons-smartphone-flamed-out/ https://www.cnet.com/tech/mobile/heres-why-the-facebook-phone-flopped/ @georgetakei Space Karen phone that flies to Mars? Like Jordan Peele said, NOPE! @georgetakei Musk certainly thinks he's very powerful. I'm looking forward to him learning that he isn't. @georgetakei According to Musk, he can create anything... We've seen others try to challenge the major ones like Samsung, and Apple...and they fell flat on their faces... @georgetakei Lol... he has never created anything! He buys what others have created and claims he created it and the way he's going he won't have the funds to keep that up much longer. @georgetakei Just to add to my previous post, I have a better chance at winning a gold medal...in female gymnastics (I'm a guy) than Musk has at beating the bigger phone carriers... @georgetakei Dear Mr. Takei. This feels like the closest Iโve ever been to you. Weโve always loved and admired you from a distance. Iโm so grateful for Mastodon. Knowing you are here makes me plant this seed. Muchos Gracias Amigo! ๐ ๐ @georgetakei The hilarious part is he'd pitch that as a solution, as opposed to just setting up a competing app store. @georgetakei his cars are falling apart and Twitter is in shambles. Does anyone think any cell phone he creates will be viable? @georgetakei @georgetakei I mean, it'll tell me something important about them if I see someone using one. @georgetakei so Elon the manchild Musk is going to create a new phone if Apple and Google ban Twitter from their platform. Wow. Things just keep getting more and more interesting. @georgetakei he fails to understand that even if he builds the phone, which carrier would permit his phones be used on the network. Has he failed to understand that networks can prohibit phone? What does he plan on doing building an entire global network? That's what he gets for not admitting he is in over his head ,& it's not all about technology. There's a people & mental aspect to life. Sadly he just doesn't understand. Too much money doesn't equate to common sense @georgetakei yeah Elon, Start making Muskphones. Thatโll drain cash faster than 3 Twitters. #Blackberry#Nokia#Motorola#Kyocera |
@georgetakei
Not sure how interesting it will be because he's probably just going to rebrand an android phone and slap a 3rd party appstore on it but if he's actually building his own thing now that would be something interesting to watch
