It's not a perfect game, and quite different to what I would have made from the same idea today. But it was deeply influential to my path as a game developer - I don't think I could have got to where I am now without it.

Last year I tweeted some more about the game and its development history for its 10th anniversary: twitter.com/Draknek/status/146

Update: I was vaguely aware of FlashPoint (bluemaxima.org/flashpoint/) but assumed my games were too obscure to have been included. I'm informed I was wrong! Not only is These Robotic Hearts of Mine there, but also a whole load of jam games I made in Flash from 2009-2013 and even some Java web applet games from 2006-2008?! I really assumed those were even deader than the Flash games.

What a fantastic thing this is

@draknek Yeah, FlashPoint is great!

I found some of my most obscure games there!

@draknek Sometimes the various communities on the internet surprise you. I made a couple zx spectrum games a few years back, and more or less forgot about them, but later stumbled upon playthroughs on youtube and map screen captures and whatnot..
