@neilhimself - I am not sure when Mastodon will have a tool to import posts, but importing DMs is nigh impossible unless the @names are identical. It may be a good idea to backup your Twitter posts and messages using their own tools. I highly doubt they will shut down Twitter. They might rebrand it or resell it first.
