@spacehobo @Richard_Littler tbf, it's not just mastodon.social at the moment. And mastodon.social struggling with scaling problems has surprising effects (because it effectively creates a netsplit; you can load a post on a different host, and be "missing" mastodon.social replies that show up later, even on your own server. It's a confusing experience that makes "Mastodon" overall feel slow.
