@ckelly @lina @alyssa It's already in upstream Mesa, I think, unless you mean the kernel driver? If you mean the latter, then I think the Rust framework has to be added to upstream Linux first.

Yep! was wondering if they're trying to get to 100% coverage before working towards upstreaming kernel driver (rust support notwithstanding!)

@ckelly @lina @alyssa It seems that Rust support is in Linux, since I see a .rustfmt.toml file in the source tree, and other mentions of Rust.

I'll wait for Lina to reply on how she wants to handle upstreaming it, but I'd assume it's better to get 100% of the way for a basic desktop experience and then upstream rather than working in the source tree, since in a fork, the dev work can go at its own pace until it's upstreamed.

And the Asahi GPU code is in Mesa at gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/me !
