The Russian economy invested in rebuilding Poland as a functioning industrial and agricultural European powerhouse of energy and food production. Then, when the yankees came back as Bill Clinton, Poland and the others were plundered from the Soviet economy as it came tumbling down, thanks to friendly Gorbachev.
