Whoever is in control of the official Mastodon account on Twitter: retweeting right-wing nut jobs and white supremacists because they’re mad at Twitter and looking for a way out does not bode well for your image. Although, frankly, maybe it does.. 🤷 Maybe whoever is in charge of that account DOES want these people on the Fediverse. 5 comments

He retweets abysmal assholes like Farage, Guliani, Donald Trump quotes and “free speech” online TV and spreads anti-vaxx misinformation .. I few tweet down he says people need to look at Gab more. Do you really think it’s a good idea to encourage people to seek out Mastodon as a platform?  @moritzheiber Unretweeted. You might want to consider that the first two lines of this post would have sufficed. The accusatory tone did not add anything of value. @Gargron Eugen, seriously, that wasn’t the first time. It was just the most egregious. I’ve seen several quote-tweets and retweets recently where the origin clearly wasn’t vetted and pretty much done blindly. I’m just tired of it. Hence the sass. I’m just going to unfollow the Twitter account. Maybe that’s the best course of action. @moritzheiber I'm scrolling back to September 2020 and not seeing anything objectionable. But sure, do what you need to do. |
