@drq russians using VPN and proxy to bypass censorship in Russia and also bypass "sorry you live in a wrong country" restrictions from democratic countries. That's hilarious. @braw Eh. Yeah, blocking a movie database surely will stop Russian govt from committing war crimes. Any second now. @drq I mean, perhaps war wasn't the reason, rather large copyright holders contacted them and asked like, ‘can you ban russian IPs since we see them pirate our movies a lot more now? and yeah: or else...’. not that they have legal grounds for that, but these sites are generally less resistant to such requests @drq oh well... I wonder if they're aware that evil russians are literally living off vpns these days |
@braw Which sucks, 'cause I'm setting up a Linux machine for my friend's kid, and really wanted to fix it with all a young guy would need - games, movies, music player, etc. etc. all as FOSS as possible.
