Upgrade from 20.04 to 22.04 for some folks at my job:
One couldn't boot (vg00 not found)
One managed to fly past 22.04 and upgraded to 22.10
Another can't connect to the WiFi at the office
And none of this was found in my testing π€¦ββοΈ

@passthejoe Reinstalls only, not gonna start writing scripts for more than one distro :P Already it's annoying between versions of install scripts :P @brandon I have an Ubuntu dekstop/NAS that I brought forward from 18.10 through each upgrade cycle to to 21.10 without issue. Then the upgrade to 22.04. GDM crashes, sound output randomly reverts to "Dummy Output", several packages are 'held back' every time I do software updates. It's a mess. I just rebuilt an old PC to run Fedora desktop, and the NAS will be reverted to FreeBSD. |
@brandon Not great. Reinstalls, or time for a new distro?
