@cpsdqs Metro apps:

• "Suspend" and "resume" when you minimise and restore them.
• Can only have one window at at time.
• Remain in memory after you close that window.
• Don't have proper filesystem access, so tend to silo files within themselves.
• Can cryptolock your computer anyway. (Security? What's that?)

Their only saving grace was compatibility with Windows Phone, but that doesn't exist any more. I have no idea why Microsoft's still replacing core system components with them.
