@scm I know I'm old, but I was never a Screen guy. I like tmux though - esp. with the restore plugin.

@gemlog @scm Somehow I could never wrap my head around tmux, dunno why. I even used byobu until it switched default backends from screen to tmux and suddenly I found myself confused and frustrated! It's now been enough years that I don't recall any details of why, and I should probably try again.

Mosh, though, I've used basically daily for maybe a decade, invaluable!

Yes, a single #mosh connection in conjunction with a #tmux session in that shell with several windows of remote sessions. #byobu adds a bit more flare as the tmux frontend, but for the ultimate experience, for just a wee bit more overhead on the remote session, try using #Terminator in mosh instead of tmux or byobu:
