@ashfurrow m.t was actually my first instance (mostly because distrotube uploaded a video about masto in 2018 and he happened to be on that instance at that time)
when i made this new account, i didn’t want to leave my previous account behind and i wanted to migrate my data to this new account; i didn’t think i’d have to do it because your instance would shut down :blobcatcry:
despite it all though, i do wish the best of luck to you and your family :blobcatlove:

Sorry to hear that you've been struggling. It's been a hard couple of years for me too, so I can emphasize, although I won't claim to know how you feel, because I know how annoying that is when you're digging deep to keep going. Good on you for giving your users a heads-up and a chance to migrate to another instance, despite your struggles. That shows a real strength of character that I'm sure will help you through the hard times. I find it helps to remember, this too shall pass ...

Needless to say, I concur that a small web of single tenant sites that can communicate with each other is the way forward. And we need lighter-weight, single tenant apps to make that happen :)
