I don't know what these features would look like in practice, but I think they'd be important to consider.

Essentially we have a sort of GeoCities thing where you sign up for a whitelisted Federation Relay instead of a single instance as your baseline level of community, and then you choose your instance within that relay as your starting point.

This allows consensus of rules and convention inside of a larger federated network
