I was a sys-admin at NASA Goddard working on the OMI Mission from 2000-2002.

If I recall, we processed level 2 to level 5 data products as well as supported the scientists in their development, much of which had to do with moving from large SGI hardware to small Linux-based Intel machines (also Big Endian to Little Endian and 64 bit to 32 bit if I recall)
