Gregory's Server@Gargron Consul used to(going back two-ish years) quickly opens and closes ports when electing a leader. This could sometimes lock the port up requiring a restart.

@LibertyBeta I've been running Consul for a long time now and I haven't noticed it. But also since basically no nodes ever leave or join my cluster, leader election would be a rare event anyway.
