@Gargron also the computer animation on the daemons and also they are there in a way that parses MUCH better than having to do a narrative aside to talk about a snake daemon coming out from the collar or whatever

i dont remember the plot being much different or the characters any different? pullman is involved in this adaptation so it isn't like they're just going off and running with whatever
