@HerpeFree understanding the context and the background of why the invasion occurred is absolutely critical. NATO is responsible for the escalation that ultimately led to the war, and it's currently responsible for prolonging the war without changing the outcome of the war. NATO is using Ukraine as a pawn in a proxy war with Russia as we speak.

@yogthos important to also remember that regardless Russia is ultimately responsible, NATO aggression and US intervention/interference doesn't justify invading a country regardless.

@HerpeFree NATO created the conditions that led to the war. The fact that NATO actions would ultimately lead to this war was something many experts warned about since the 90s.

Russia attempted to resolve the situation through negotiation for eight years. The west and the post coup regime in Ukraine showed no willingness to renegotiate.

Russia had very reasonable demands before the war which were that Ukraine respects Minsk agreements and stays neutral.

@HerpeFree talking about whether the invasion was justified or not is not productive because it doesn't help us understand why the invasion happened and how this could be avoided in the future.

If conflicts are to be avoided then it's important to understand the concerns of all the parties involved and to look for solutions that all parties can live with.

NATO refused to participate in finding peaceful solutions for Russia's security concerns which led Russia to solve the problem militarily.
