@GossiTheDog @bytex64 so I'm new to this and just made a Mastedon account.... Am I on the fediverse now ... Or is that a whole other thing  @GossiTheDog @JusticeArkansas Uhhh… yes. Mastodon is a server software that participates with other server software and we call that whole ball of yarn the fediverse. @bytex64 @GossiTheDog thanks that's what I was leaning towards but I didn't want to start directing people to Mastodon if it was the wrong starting point... @JusticeArkansas Well that’s the great part. Any other place in the fediverse is a fine starting point too because it all interoperates. Think of it in the same way that having a GMail account means you can email anyone, even if they’re not using GMail. @bytex64 as you can tell I'm in Arkansas... And all of my main contacts are very let's just say not liberal.,.. slowly trying to expose their minds to more balanced rhetoric. The blue sky app was the first one I saw but I can say that's already been poisoned in their mind so maybe I can get this to work out.,. |
@bytex64 yep. It’s still happening on others (eg Mastodon is up nearly 10%) but bulk is Pixelfed
