Meta: « We don’t like moderation, we think it’s censorship, so we’re going to let everyone say what they want ».

People post link to Pixelfed as they leave the soon to be Twitter-like cesspool of fake information and hate.

Meta: « let’s censor links to other services like Pixelfed ».

Very coherent stance there, Zuck.

@thelinuxEXP maybe it's never actually been about free speech and censorship 🤔 but I'm sure the billionaires wouldn't just lie to us like that.

@ninafelwitch They clearly don’t give a crap about what they call free speech of censorship. They care about money, and now that they feel they can get away with no moderation, and thus paying less people, they’ll do it!

@thelinuxEXP mhhh, who would have thought, that a service, developed by one guy @dansup would scare one of the biggest companies in the world so hard, that they feel the need to censor it. Kudos

@thelinuxEXP “so we’re going to let everyone say what they want” → “so we’re going to let everyone say what we want”…

@thelinuxEXP what makes me wonder: why meta supports the fediverse with threads but censors a fedi tool?

@thelinuxEXP it's also funny that a service with more than 2 billion user is so afraid of a service with 300k users that they have to block links to it.

@thelinuxEXP All that Zuki cares about is money and that can dry up very soon from meta if pixelfed becomes popular. Meta's VR game is doomed, Open source LLM does not help them in any way, fake engagement chat bots they created are having the backlash. Guess he has to find his niche in trump and survive. Money is his only motive and everything else is a smokescreen or collateral damage

@thelinuxEXP It's not double standard if they are the one doing it 😆

@thelinuxEXP not sure if it's only for big pages but I posted on Facebook to test this and the post is still there 24 hours later.
