@gruber @stroughtonsmith I see all of these APIs’ requests quite reasonable with the exception of “proximity-triggered pairing” (as I guess is not trivial to avoid abuse):
- AirPlay: they already share it with some partners, now they have to make the protocol public.
- AirDrop: they just have to make the protocol public.
- Bluetooth Notifications: Apple clearly stopped adding features to it after the Apple Watch release… (https://developer.apple.com/library/archive/documentation/CoreBluetooth/Reference/AppleNotificationCenterServiceSpecification/Specification/Specification.html).
