@mojo Cross-reference with another newspaper owned by a different billionaire with different desperations?

@mojo Thanks! but that will happen in June 🙂

@mojo That’s a very lazy and disrespectful Alt Text. 😢

Mojo ♻️

@KimSJ please make a suggestion and I'll change it 🙏

@mojo @KimSJ Is this ok?

A Daily Telegraph newspaper on a stand. Over the top of it an A4 sized piece of paper has been placed. The text on the paper reads:

POLITE NOTICE

Customers are reminded that these newspapers are merely the opinions of a small group of billionaires desperate to influence public opinion and are not 100% factually reflecting reality.

Please cross-reference everything you read!

THANK YOU

@mojo Thank you. I apologise for being stroppy. It was uncalled for.

While I fully support the drive towards proper use of Alt Text to make social media better for visually impaired users, is public shaming really the way to achieve it?

Education is far more effective than coercion.

Maybe next time try a kind suggestion for a better Alt Text, instead of a oneliner attack?

@mojo when in the UK I prefer to read a paper called "The Bog Roll". It usually contains far more believable shit than the tabloids!

@mojo October 24, 2024? Pretty recent!

@mojo Best way to deal with Murdoch Press drivel!

@mojo This is actually brilliant and needs to be posted on every instance of legacy media possible - on newspapers, online comment sections, etc.

On top of a pile of Daily Telegraph copies, a card lays, with printed text "Polite notice. Customers are reminded that these newspapers are merely the opinions of a small group billionaires desperate to influence public opinion and are not 100% factually reflecting reality. Please cross-reference everything you read"

@mojo i would call it a “free Toilet Paper”, but don't use it, of course.

@mojo I'm glad to see this, but I think it would be more accurate to replace the words "opinions of billionaires" to "propaganda of billionaires"
