@Infoseepage @mackayim2022 I ran into an article in a magazine out of a southern agricultural college a few years ago that claimed that solar panels would ruin your land and destroy your children's legacy. I have to assume it was purchased with oil money. I should see if I can search it out.

It's a long list of cons, which definitely should be considered, but it also has a good deal of fearmongering e.g. "why are the solar companies paying rent when they could just buy the land????" My search pulled up a good deal of astroturf, e.g. Citizens for Responsible Solar which is entirely anti-solar.
