Do you like Linux distro/OS, or do you like complaining about other operating systems?

@fak3r @nixCraft Each and every OS has it's benefits and drawbacks, I like that there are varieties.

But if I use #linux, I rant about #microsoft. If I use #windows I rant about microsoft, too.

@madnuttah @nixCraft from my desk I can see 4 computers running Linux, and one (my WORK computer) running Windows. The inefficiencies of Windows just never fail to amaze me!

@nixCraft I use quite a few operating systems on a day-to-day basis. But for personal stuff, I really find that iPadOS and iOS are 90% of what I need.

STP

@nixCraft definitely another vote for 'both'. Something I even (or especially) complain about the Linux distro that I choose to use.

@nixCraft
ChromeOS on ARM-chip with linux, Android-apps with F-Droid and Playstore support (adb)
My favourite at the moment.

@nixCraft I most of the time do the first, but sometimes I also do the latter.

@nixCraft I found that ever since I moved to Linux, I am much more neutral about macOS and Windows. I prefer Linux (with no intention of changing), but I can appreciate what goes into the other two much more.

@nixCraft I use Linux almost exclusively now; it's not worth complaining about the others. Windows runs my soft synths, but that's the only thing I use it for.

@nixCraft I love Linux as it just works for me, but I appreciate it doesn't for others. I hate Windows as my largest use case is repairing/updating it for others and it is soooo slow compared to my Linux install.

@nixCraft depending on which but more complain about these i left

@nixCraft personally I don't like the standard desktops of windows or macOS either. Both are focused on simple and for me useless features like surfing the web or opening documents.
Linux desktops are mostly better right from the beginning, but it takes a while I have my own (very slim and reduced) environment, which does not slow me down.

@nixCraft I use Linux, macOS and Windows everyday. Each has its purpose, but my "go to" is Linux when given the choice. I used to despise Windows until WSL on Windows 10. Now I'm not too bothered.

@nixCraft Just love linux. Complaining about other OS it's a waste
of time. The same way complaining about other linux distro that the one I am using it it's a waste of time. Linux is freedom.

@nixCraft I tend to complain about everything related to IT lately and imho we're been given more than enough reason to do so. 😬

@nixCraft I complain about operating systems created by multi-billion dollar companies that generally suck and only have the bottom line on their mind.

I have little to complain about on Linux - I love using it on a daily basis :)

AbleTheAbove

@nixCraft I just want to finish mine operating system and use it :blobugh:

@nixCraft I like Linux, or in general most Unix incarnations.

M$ meanwhile completely lost its way, their products are almost completely unusable, aside from Bing (thanks to Google I guess).

For the Apple, let's forget once MacOS was more usable than most Linux desktops, nowadays it isn't so...

@nixCraft I use Linux for years now, I don't know what Windows11 is. Therefore, I cannot complain about this subject. I have a lot of time to spare now.

zartocle

@nixCraft I equally, unequivocally absolutely love doing both <3

dodothedev🦤💻

@nixCraft
Both. I have Linux at home and windows at work. On an almost daily basis, I lament at work "this wouldn't happen on Linux".

London Eastfield 🇵🇸

@nixCraft Couldn't care less what other people use.

The problem starts when I am *forced* to use an operating system that sucks.

railmeat

@nixCraft

I complain about other operating systems, but I don’t like Linux either.

renegadespork

@nixCraft Non-Linux users don’t believe me when I tell them that I genuinely enjoy using my computer. I think people are accustomed to their OS mostly being a barrier.
