@c0debabe Oh, yes, I see... 🤦🏾‍♂️
How do we achieve this (again)? 🤔

@c0debabe I agree with most of these but...

> the Web makes it possible to verify information

I can't help but feel that the word "possible" is doing a LOT of heavy lifting here

@c0debabe Thanks for sharing this! I didn't know about this and I looked up the document w3.org/TR/ethical-web-principl

Any person must be able to choose to live without the web

@Katika @c0debabe @onepict

i've chosen life without a smart/cellphone. it really limits my 'possible' interactions with people in general, and society at large. i feel like a relic from the past, and absolutely no one makes an effort to be in touch via email, which i can readily access, without a 'data account.'

If only ethics made money...

We all know that platforms will ignore this, because it makes them more money.

@c0debabe one has to wonder what multi-browser even means when everything is chrome based, but I appreciate the mindset. (and desperately agree with it all, don't get me wrong)

@c0debabe bet facebook, microsoft and google helped write this.

IEEE 1149.1

@c0debabe until this reads "the web is no place for capitalism" its just pure BS.

@c0debabe

Identical to the ethical automobile principles.

@c0debabe I don’t really get having only one web being ethical, but i might be missing the point. Aren’t there alternative schemes which might be considered alternative webs or even smaller physical networks. Isn’t the offices intranet another “web”?
