I love that it feels like the old web from when I first began my online life, back in the late 90's. Back when we all helped each other and formed small interconnected communities.

This feels like what Facebook or Twitter should have been. And it's why I don't like it when people push for the Fediverse to grow exponentially like commercial social media; that's how we got into this mess, in my opinion.

Let this place grow organically. Let people slowly find out about it, let them learn how it works, let them detox from the "engagement disease" before coming here. Otherwise we get stuff like the frenetic push we've been getting to adopt crappy features from other places, without thinking about privacy or consent or how it fits into the notion of organic growth (like the "starter pack" stuff).
