This is the 1959 Sharp Tranket Transistor Radio. Not a toy, but a fully-functional radio.

In the late 50s Japan was in an era of war recovery with a focus on material desires. And the world was finding significant interest in space exploration. This inspired the Tranket’s design.

It was an in-home ornament with an available bicycle attachment. And it’s a favorite in the Sharp museum.
