@SinclairSpeccy@oldbytes.space Today I learnt that there were UNIX implementations without memory protection (on systems without MMU, like the 8086). ​:blobcatopenmouth:​ @SinclairSpeccy At one point, I talked to SCO Unix folks about replacing our DOS workstations with their product. It would have been about $200 more per seat. That was the late 90's, so perhaps this OS was gone by then. |
